FORT WORTH - J.D. "Jesse" Arambula, a retired Swift & Co. employee, died Thursday at a Fort Worth hospital. He was 80.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Burial will be in Springtown Cemetery.
Mr. Arambula was born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico, and had lived in Fort Worth for 75 years. He was a Army veteran of World War II and past commander of American Legion Post No. 569.
Mr. Arambula was a Methodist.
Survivors: Wife, Mildred Arambula of Fort Worth; stepdaughter, Dale Parrent of Roanoke; two brothers, Arthur Castillo and Robert Castillo, both of Fort Worth; and sister, Amparo Marie Simmons of Corpus Christi.

FORT WORTH - Mildred Nix Arambula, a homemaker, died Thursday of heart failure at a Fort Worth hospital. She was 79.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Greenwood Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Springtown Cemetery in Springtown.
The family will receive visitors from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Arambula was born in Springtown.She was the widow of Jesse Arambula.
She had lived in the Fort Worth area since 1920. She was a member of College Avenue Baptist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary Post 569.
Survivors: Daughter, Dale Wilson Parrent of Trophy Club; sister, Dorothy Barry of Fort Worth; and two grandsons.

Bernice Barringer, 71, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer?s Disease.
Bernice Barringer was born May 3, 1934, the daughter of George and Maudie Roberts in Parker County. She worked for Southwestern Bell Phone Co. and was a beautician for many years, owning Bernice?s Beauty Bar in Springtown.
She was preceded in death by husband Troy Potter; and step-grandson Jerry Beason II.
Survivors include husband Douglas Barringer; daughters, Brenda Beason and husband Jerry of Stephenville, Lenda Morrison-Sugg and husband Ernie of Grand Prarie, Dottie Simmons and husband Jerry of Springtown; stepchildren, Douglas A Barringer of Fort Worth, Vicki Barringer of Arizonia; grandchildren, Jeremy Simmons, Chris Beason, Kelli Morrison Simmons; step-grandchildren, Donna Groshup, Greg Sugg, Carla Vick; great-grandchildren, Alexander Simmons, Klayetan Simmons, Bree Simmons; and step-great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Cheyenne Vick.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at Springtown Cemetery.

FORT WORTH - Edward Patrick Barry, an inspector for the Texas Department of Health in Galveston, died Sunday at a Fort Worth nursing home. He was 78.
Rosary will be at 7 tonight at Harveson & Cole Funeral Home.
Mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, where he was a member. Burial will be in Springtown Cemetery in Springtown.
Harveson & Cole is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Barry was born in Fort Worth and had been a lifelong resident.
He had also worked for General Dynamics.

FORT WORTH - Dorothy Nix Barry, 91, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2002, after a brief illness.
Funeral: 10 a.m. Thursday in The Drawing Room of Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home, Dr. James A. Gatliff officiating. Burial: Springtown Cemetery.

Dorothy had lived at the Grand court for the last 2 1/2 years after moving from the Palm House.
Dorothy was born in Springtown on Nov. 11, 1910, to John W. Nix and Daisy Dean Dale. Her father, John W. Nix, was a noted historian and the author of "The Tale of Two Schools - Springtown-Parker County."
Dorothy married Edward Barry on Dec. 23, 1941. She worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. and retired in 1968 after 40 years of service.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of White Settlement and a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband and her three sisters, Nell King, Elizabeth Strickland and Mildred Arambula.
We will remember her beautiful smile and her great sense of humor.

Surviving are: his wife, Dova, one son, Erman E. Rhoten of Anchorage, Alaska; one grandson; four granddaughters; four great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Clifford Rhoten of Paradise; five sisters, Donna Lowe, Maye Lowe and Martha Byers all of Springtown, Hester Baysinger of Marlow, Oklahoma and Mrs. Eunice Welch of Fort Worth.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 pm Wednesday in the White's Springtown Cemetery.
