Dr. Bell is buried at a spot chosen by the inventor himself. - Mabel Bell died at her daughter Daisy's Maryland home. Her ashes were interred in Alec's grave on August 7. Following her wishes, the time chosen was 5:00 p.m., the hour when for years she had joined Alec at the Laboratory to bring him home to the family.
